Genbikei Gorge, a natural structure carved out and formed by water currents, continues along for about 2 km.
Designated as National Scenic Beauty and a natural monument, one of Genbikei’s attractions is its varied landscape, such as the upstream where rough currents hit the rocks and create a dynamic spray, and the relaxing, deep emerald green abyss that is visible downstream.
One of Genbikei’s specialties is the “flying dumpling.” When you place money in a basket in the rocks to order these dumplings, your order will be sent to a shop on the opposite side and the dumplings will “fly” through the air by rope.
