DATE Busyoutai, a welcoming team from Oshu and Sendai, represents DATE Masamune, the first lord of the Sendai domain, along with seven of his retainers, and engages in events to promote Sendai. With the motto “Moving Forward Together: Sendai, Miyagi, Tohoku,” they demonstrate at locations like the Site of Sendai Castle and various events, where they welcome tourists and kindly pose for photos to convey the charm of Sendai and Miyagi, as well as the culture and history of DATE, to Japan and the world.

The DATE Busyoutai welcoming team is based at “the Site of Sendai Castle,” where they operate every weekend, on public holidays, and the day before a holiday from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. In winter, the hours are from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. During the summer vacation period (from late July to August), they may also make appearances on weekdays. Additionally, they can demonstrate for incentive tours as well as at various venues.
