Day 1:①Start from Sendai Station

Get off at Iwanuma Station, get on Daishi line bus or Seibu line bus, and get off at “Hanatopia Iwanuma” bus stop. Walk 10 minutes to the shrine.
②Kanahebisui Shrine
Kanahebisui Shrine enshrines the deity of a white snake and is known for its blessings related to prosperous business, financial luck, protection from misfortune, and maritime safety. Around May, it is also renowned for its wisteria and peony flowers viewing areas.

③Sendai Daikannon
The Sendai Daikannon is a huge Kannon statue located in the outskirts of Sendai City, standing at a height of 100 meters. It is the tallest Kannon statue in Japan and the second tallest Buddhist statue in the country, making it visible from various locations within Sendai City.

②Site of Sendai Castle
“Sendai Castle,” also known as Aoba Castle, was built on Mount Aoba by Lord DATE Masamune and serves as a popular tourist spot that conveys the history of Sendai and the intentions of Masamune. The original stone walls from the castle’s construction still remain, allowing visitors to get a sense of the long-lasting over 400 year history of the city and the high level of architectural skill from that time.
