Sendai Tsuishu is a form of engraved lacquerware made by applying layers of vermillion lacquer. Refined designs give a depth of character to products. A variety of Tsuishu items are produced, forexample such as elegant cases for carrying small objects, inkstone cases and tobacco trays. The wares are also available in yellow and black.
