Outside the area: Purchase at travel agencies along with travel products that include the unlimited travel area as a destination.

3. [Exclusive for Foreign Visitors / For Wide-Area Sightseeing] JR EAST PASS

JR EAST PASS will significantly change from March 14, 2026.

The “JR EAST PASS (Tohoku Area)” and “JR EAST PASS (Nagano, Niigata Area)” previously sold will be discontinued. A new JR EAST PASS (5 days / 10 days) integrating the Tohoku and Nagano/Niigata areas will be sold.

Also, the “JR East–South Hokkaido Rail Pass” usable in the Hokkaido and Tohoku areas will have changes to its travel area and price.
